During 2026, the administration has carried out a comprehensive review of costs, schedules, and remaining work across all projects within the metro expansion. A new final cost estimate for the entire expansion has now been presented. The new estimate incorporates cost increases, risks, and index adjustments in a more systematic and comprehensive way than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new estimate indicates increased costs and revised schedules for the various projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of September, the new estimate was presented to the Regional Transport Committee of Region Stockholm and the funding parties, who are now analyzing the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Ongoing procurements will continue, but the the result of the new estimate will in some cases lead to adjustments in the schedules. At present, we cannot say whether the new estimate will have any other consequences for ongoing or planned procurements. We expect to be able to provide updated information during November, says Iveta Sandstr\u00f6m, Head of Procurement at the New Metro Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
