{"id":5061,"date":"2018-11-20T09:06:52","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T09:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nyatunnelbanan.se\/2018\/11\/20\/great-interest-when-world-came-stockholm\/"},"modified":"2021-12-03T14:20:16","modified_gmt":"2021-12-03T14:20:16","slug":"great-interest-when-world-came-stockholm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nyatunnelbanan.se\/en\/news\/great-interest-when-world-came-stockholm\/","title":{"rendered":"Great interest when the world came to Stockholm"},"content":{"rendered":"<address><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">German, Spanish, Chinese \u2013 many languages were overheard when the Stockholm County Council invited construction companies from all over the world to Stockholm.&nbsp;<\/span><\/address>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Over the course of the day-long event, company representatives were informed about all the major initiatives that are underway in the public transport system.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cI fielded many curious questions, and there is a very great deal of interest in participating in the expansion of our Metro&nbsp;system,\u201d says Andreas Burghauser, the project manager for the Metro&nbsp;that is to be built under S\u00f6dermalm.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cIt&#8217;s great to meet and talk with the people who will be building for us,\u201d says Anna Nyl\u00e9n, the project manager for the Metro&nbsp;to Barkarby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Anna Nyl\u00e9n\u2019s project will be first in line when the expansion gets underway. The construction of the work tunnels will begin very soon, so the contracts are already prepared.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cThere was massive interest in our next contract, for building what will become the track tunnel between Akalla, and Barkarby,\u201d she explains.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The idea behind the event is to spread knowledge about both upcoming contracts and about what it&#8217;s like to work in Sweden.
